Symptoms

APEX 18.2 version, Administration

When attempting to to send email in APEX the following error occurs.

ERROR
-----------------------
ORA-29279 SMTP permanent error: 503 #5.3.3 AUTH not available

or

ORA-29279: SMTP permanent error: 504 5.7.4 Unrecognized authentication type

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Configure STMP Server in APEX Instance setting
2. Test send email from APEX
3. See the error in the Queue
