(Doc ID 2515563.1)
Last updated on MARCH 12, 2021
Applies to:Oracle Traffic Director - Version 18.104.22.168.0 and later
Oracle Solaris on SPARC (64-bit)
Two Solaris boxes of OTD - (OTD 1 and OTD 2) and initially the VIP is associated to OTD 1 box
When the OTD1 box goes down, the VIP is associated to OTD2 box and then the OTD2 box becomes the primary
- Now, when OTD1 box starts up, VIP automatically switches back to OTD1 from OTD2
- At this time the OTD1 has not started up and until it starts , there will be a downtime for the end-user
- Is this a normal behavior?
- What are the different ways to avoid downtime?
