Symptoms

The following message is received when attempting to start an Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) 12c standalone Agent:

... WARNING FAILED ServerConnector@<GUID>{HTTP/1.1}{server:port}: java.net.BindException: Can't assign requested address (errno:227)
... WARNING FAILED org.eclipse.jetty.server.Server: java.net.BindException: Can't assign requested address (errno:227)
... ERROR ODI-1131 Agent <AGENT NAME> encountered an error: ODI-1540: Agent <AGENT NAME> start failure: error while trying to use Http Port port. Caused by: Can't assign requested address (errno:227)
... ERROR Can't assign requested address (errno:227)
... ERROR java.net.BindException: Can't assign requested address (errno:227)
... NOTIFICATION Ignoring Exception in method isSupportsHeaderAuth() : Connection refused (Connection refused)
... WARNING ODI-2013 Ping to agent <AGENT NAME> failed with "oracle.odi.runtime.agent.invocation.InvocationException: ODI-1424: Agent host or port cannot be reached using http://<SERVER>:<PORT>/<WEB APPLICATION NAME>.".
