Unable To Administer OID With WLST In 12C, Missing MBean: oracle.as.management.mbeans.register (Doc ID 2523517.1)

Last updated on OCTOBER 05, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Internet Directory - Version 12.2.1.3.180621 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

The following document contains steps to administer OID 12.2.1.3 through WLST:

https://docs.oracle.com/en/middleware/idm/internet-directory/12.2.1.3/oidag/managing-system-configuration-attributes2.html#GUID-024515BE-C750-4198-B70C-CB88C58CF14D
Administering Oracle Internet Directory 12c (12.2.1.3.0)
9 Managing System Configuration Attributes
Managing System Configuration Attributes by Using WLST

However, ls() does not show MBean 'oracle.as.management.mbeans.register' so the steps cannot be followed.

From the document:

"1 Invoke WLST

$ORACLE_HOME/oracle_common/common/bin/wlst.sh

2 Connect to the WebLogic server

connect('username', 'password', 't3://localhost:7001')

3 To navigate to the custom mbean tree, type:

custom()

at the wlst prompt.

4 To get a one-level list of the MBean in the custom MBean tree, type:

ls()

In the ls() output, you see two domains that contain MBeans that are related
to Oracle Internet Directory configuration. The domains are
oracle.as.management.mbeans.register and oracle.as.oid."

Since ls() does not return oracle.as.management.mbeans.register the next steps cannot be followed and it is not possible to change OID server attributes through WLST.
