Information in this document applies to any platform.
Persona: Application Administrators, Developers
Estimated Time to Complete: 45 - 60 minutes

Goal

After upgrading from WebCenter Portal 11g to 12c there is no option to download assets from WebCenter Portal to JDeveloper.
This option was removed in 12c.

The following ER has being created to bring back that functionality:

Unpublished Enh 29603442 - Add back the option to download/upload assets from JDeveloper from/to WCP 12c

In 12c, assets can be created/customized using Portal Asset Application Template but there is no option to get existing assets to JDeveloper after the upgrade from 11g to 12c.

This document will show a way to move existing assets to a WebCenter Portal Asset Application so that customizations can be done to WebCenter Portal assets after the upgrading to 12c.

This document will show how to continue development of Page Templates but similar approach can be done for all type of assets.
