Search Index Not Updated When Using Records Set Dates Actions on Expired Items from Search Results Page. (Doc ID 2527967.1)

Last updated on JANUARY 06, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle WebCenter Content: Records - Version 11.1.1.9.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

After configuring the "Record Expiration Date" To be searchable and enabled on UI from Configuration Manager, the value for this field is not reflected properly on the search index when the value is cleared out(Null), until the item itself is resubmitted from the Repository Manager.

The "Record Expiration Date" field is cleared out/made null by using (Set Dates > Clear Dates), which is reflected properly as NULL in the DOCMETA DB table. However, the value remains unchanged in the active search index table (IDCTEXT1 or IDCTEXT2).

This makes the item searchable via record expiration date until it has been resubmitted through the Repository Manager.

In Summary, The SET > CLEAR DATES option on an expired record items is not triggering the automatic re-index of the item.
