Symptoms

Using WebLogic Console, facing an issue deploying an application EAR file. The following errors are shown on the screen:

- Unable to access the selected application
- GC overhead limit exceeded


 The AdminServer.log reports these errors but not necessarily together:

The issue can be reproduced with the following steps:

1. Log onto /console
2. Click deployments on the left pane
3. Find and select your ear file

Error occurs at this point like in this screenshot:
