Symptoms

On WebLogic Server 12.2.1.3, RMI RemoteObjects being prematurely garbage collected while they are still in use.

When the remote EJB call from the client to the server takes longer than a certain time (> 4 minutes) the server's callbacks to the client-side RemoteObject fail with an exception like this:

 Issue is observed after upgrading from WLS 12.2.1.2 to WLS 12.2.1.3.
