OID 12c: ODSM Does Not Display the Directory Information Tree Pop-up When Clicking On The "..." Sign (Ellipsis) To Add Users As Members Of A Group (Doc ID 2531513.1)

Last updated on OCTOBER 31, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Internet Directory - Version 12.2.1.3.180621 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Oracle Internet Directory (OID) 12c 12.2.1.3.0.

In Oracle Directory Services Manager (ODSM) > Data Browser, when a group is selected, a "+" (plus) sign is displayed in the Members section to add members to that group.

Clicking on that "+" sign creates a new blank line underneath where you can either enter the DN of a new member, or click on the three dots (ellipsis) "..." sign on the right side of that new line that should open a pop-up window, where it is possible to browse the the OID DIT (Directory Information Tree) and select the user to add as member of the group.

However, clicking on the ellipsis sign does not bring up the pop-up window. It creates a new blank line instead.

Note: In Linux, the "..." sign disappears after applying OID Bundle Patch (BP) 12.2.1.3.180621 (Patch 28220491) and only becomes visible if you hover the mouse over the right hand side of the new blank line. However, it is not possible to click on that sign. In other platforms like Solaris the problem persists after applying the BP 180621.
