Committing from Enterprise Capture to WCC Fails with Error "Error sending check-in request" and "Premature close" (Doc ID 2531820.1)

Symptoms

When trying to commit a file to WebCenter Content using the UCM Commit within WebCenter Enterprise Capture, the process fails before the whole document is uploaded.

The Capture diagnostic log displays:

Caused by: oracle.stellent.ridc.protocol.ProtocolException: java.io.IOException: Premature close: only 1798 bytes written instead of the expected 2032

 Using the WCC checkin process works as expected.
