ODI Studio Received Java.lang.NullPointerException When Launched from One Operating System Account, but Works with Another User on the Same Machine (Doc ID 2535771.1)

Symptoms

One Operating System user can access Oracle Data Integrator (ODI ) Studio, and the Repositories connection succeeds...

...  but another Operating System user gets a NullPointerException (NPE) when using ODI Studio on the same machine, and connecting to the same Repositories, while the connection test to the same Master Repository succeeds:
