Large document batches are causing the RunTime Server (RTS) to crash many times resulting in this error in the H_.log for the OCR Instance:

Document file could not be updated! Changes in workdoc could not be written to a file or database! Please make sure the file is not write protected

Redirecting document [File_Name].wdc to failed state, due to timeout or crash in last two processing attempts.
