On : 12.2.1.3.0 version, Administration
Cannot start OTD instance from EM Console
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Attempt to start 2 of 3 OTD instances in EM console
2. Observe following error:
Validate Start Up operation on target /Domain_OTDDOMAIN/OTDDOMAIN/otd_server_instance

Perform Start Up operation on target /Domain_OTDDOMAIN/OTDDOMAIN/server
Perform Start Up operation on target /Domain_OTDDOMAIN/OTDDOMAIN/otd_server_instance
------------------------------------------------
Checking operation status on target /Domain_OTDDOMAIN/OTDDOMAIN/server
Received error message from Node Manager Server: [Node Manager command 'SYNC_CHANGELIST' failed unexpectedly due to: [Received java.lang.NullPointerException but without detailed error message. Please enable Node Manager debug to see the full stack trace if necessary]. Please check Node Manager log and/or server log for detailed information.]. Please check Node Manager log for details.
Operation Start Up on target /Domain_OTDDOMAIN/OTDDOMAIN/otd_server_instance failed. Please see application logs for details

Changes
During maintenance, a user with root access ran a script which changed the permission of the server.xml file to be owned by root user.
