Applies to:
Oracle JDeveloper - Version 12.2.1.3.0 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
After migrating the ADF application from 11g to 12.2.1.3, clicking the Submit button when a field is not mandatory and no value was entered causes the following error in the log file
<Error> <oracle.adf.model.log.UserHintsImpact> <BEA-000000> <ListBinding:<LOV_NAME> in pagedef: <PAGE_DEF> allows mandatory but has nullvalue position set to 'none'.>
<Error> <oracle.adf.model.log.UserHintsImpact> <BEA-000000> <Ignoring Mandatory Flag. ListBinding:<LOV_NAME> has nullvalue position set to 'none' in ...>
In 11g, even though the field is left empty and the attribute is not mandatory, clicking on "Submit" does not cause the above error in the log.
