Symptoms
When using an External Authentication Plugin over a TLS/SSL connection to the plugin target, our first authentication attempt is successful, however all subsequent authentication attempts result in "LDAP error code 49 Invalid Credentials". Connecting over a non TLS/SSL connection results in a successful authentication. With plugin debugging enabled the following is logged:
