OAAM: Error: Cannot assert the username from DAP token

We have successfully integrated OAAM 11g with OAM 12c. After protecting a resource within OAM using OAAM TAPScheme, the user is either asked to register (if not registered for new user) or asked to provide answers to questions (for users tha have enrolled in the past)- after either of them the user gets the below error :
