Symptoms

Steps to create issue:

1) Log into OUDSM

2) Attempt to create a new attribute definition via Schema tab

3) Assign a non-numeric / character based OID (Object Identifier) (for example, the string value "attributeName-oid" )

Process fails as shown in the below error:

Error: The format is incorrect.

The value must match this pattern: ^[0-9]+((\.)?[0-9]+)*
Object identifier. This is a standardized numerical sequence based on IETF standards. It must be unique and should comply with the system established
within your organization. Normally it is derived from the identifier assigned by registration agencies, such as ANSI or ISO.
