Oracle WebCenter Portal - Version to
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Portal role permissions in WebCenter Portal does not match the permissions in the Policy Store (OPSS).

Issue can be verified as follows:

  1. Get the Portal Internal ID.

    • Connect to WebCenter Portal as an administrator user of the portal having issues with the portal members.

    • Go to Administer the Portal.

    • Select the General Settings Page of the Portal.

    • Note down the Portal Name and Internal ID.
For example, it should be something like this:

      Name: Portal1
      Internal ID: s9c50076b_43ce_4068_9155_864b210fea81

  2. Using the Portal Internal ID connect to sqlplus using OPSS schema such as DEV_OPSS and run this query.

Note: Replace "[Portal_Internal_ID]" with the actual portal Internal ID you got from previous step.

    select substr(RDN,4,instr(a.rdn,'\#')-4) SPACE_GUID,
          decode(instr(b.attrval,'WLSUserImpl',1),0,'Group','User') Member_Type,
          substr(b.attrval, instr(b.attrval,'=', 1, 1)+1, instr(b.attrval,'+', 1, 1)-4) GROUP_USER_NAME,
          Initcap(substr(a.rdn, instr(a.rdn,'#', 1, 2)+1, length(a.rdn))) ROLE
    from JPS_DN a, JPS_ATTRS b
    where a.rdn like '%[Portal_Internal_ID]%'
    and   b.jps_dn_entryid = a.entryid
    and   b.attrname='orcljaznprincipal'
    order by 1,2;

    For example:

  3. Compare the results of queries from OPSS and WEBCENTER schemas from steps 2 and 3 from above.
If you see more rows in OPSS schema then you are having this issue.

Comparing the results of the query against what you see in the WebCenter Portal UI you will see WebCenter Portal shows what is in the WEBCENTER schema.

Expect the information to be consistent between OPSS and WebCenter Portal.
