Trying to Edit Some Pages Causes the Cursor to Spin and Then Nothing Happens (Doc ID 2561157.1)

Symptoms

Unable to edit pages in a Portal.
Attempting to edit pages causes the cursor to spin for a minute then returns to the pointer cursor like nothing ever happened.


ERROR

The following error is observed in the Portal diagnostic log file:

STEPS

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

 

  1. Connect to WebCenter portal.

  2. Attempt to edit a page.
    Here you will see the cursor spinning and not being able to edit the page.
