Goldengate Dblogin Giving Error But Sqlplus Is Able To Make The Connection (Doc ID 2561899.1)

Symptoms

Get "ORA-12533: TNS:illegal ADDRESS parameters" when you use dblogin .  But it works in sqlplus with the same TNS name.
Using "SQLNET.COMPRESSION = on" in sqlnet.ora

 

GGSCI > dblogin userid c##ogg@<tns_db>
Password:
ERROR: OCI Error ORA (status = 12533-ORA-12533: TNS:illegal ADDRESS parameters

 

/home/oracle> sqlplus c##ogg@<tns_db>

SQL*Plus: Release 12.1.0.2.0 Production on Mon Jun 17 17:58:31 2019
