OUD has the below configuration:

<OUD_INSTANCE_HOME>/OUD$ ./bin/manage-suffix list -h localhost -p <admin_port> -D "<DN_DSAdmin>" -j <password_file> --trustAll --no-prompt
Reading Configuration ..... Done.
Base DN                                    : Entries : Oracle Integration [1] : Type               : Other Information
--------------------------------------:---------:------------------------:--------------------:-------------------------------
ou=branch1,<ROOTDN_SUFFIX> : xxxx   : No Integration         : Local Database   : Not Replicated (Use 'dsreplication enable' to enable replication)
ou=branch2,<ROOTDN_SUFFIX> : xxxx   : No Integration         : Local Database   : Not Replicated (Use 'dsreplication enable' to enable replication)

[1] You can update the integration using the 'manage-suffix update' sub-command.

When searching for entries on common suffix (<ROOTDN_SUFFIX>) the following error is observed:

<OUD_INSTANCE_HOME>/OUD$ ./bin/ldapsearch -h localhost -p <ldap_port> -D "<DN_DSAdmin>" -w - -b "<ROOTDN_SUFFIX>" -s sub "(objectclass=*)" dn
Password for user '<DN_DSAdmin>':
SEARCH operation failed
Result Code: 32 (No Such Entry)
Additional Information: The entry "<ROOTDN_SUFFIX>" specified as the search base does not exist in the Directory Server

Changes

OUD was configured (by purpose) only with below suffixes without any common baseDN defined.

ou=branch1,<ROOTDN_SUFFIX> - baseDN1
ou=branch2,<ROOTDN_SUFFIX> - baseDN2
