Symptoms

When implementing the solution suggested in the KM Doc - How to Enable a WebLogic 10.3.6 LDAP Authentication Provider for SSL? (Doc ID 2326246.1), 
SSL handshake failure was encountered with the result that the Users and Groups from OID Authentication provider were unable to be viewed on the WebLogic console security realms
