Difference in Exception Message Between Actual Error instance and Retry (Doc ID 2570286.1)

According to section "K.1.1 Request or Response Messages" in the following documentation:

“An exception message is sent to the application.
The exception message is enqueued to IP_IN_QUEUE and has the recipient name b2berroruser. The enqueued exception is based on ipException.xsd and contains information such as the error message (errorText has a short description and errorDescription has a longer description) and the error code.”

As per this documentation, any exception is by default sent as a message to the IP_IN_QUEUE using the b2berroruser.

1) Even for the retries configured in the channel, is it expected to sent these messages to the IP_IN_QUEUE?

2) How do we differentiate the exception message for a retry and the actual error instance?

3) If the retry also creates an exception message in IP_IN_QUEUE, what is the way to prevent this from happening?
