Goal

Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) contains internal JDBC drivers to interface with certain technologies, like XML and LDAP. The driver contains a list of reserved keywords that have special meaning when using SQL queries to access the data. It is generally a best practice to avoid using these keywords in your data models to keep unexpected and undesired behavior related to masking them to a minimum.
