TLOG Migration-When Dumptlog / Loadtlog Really Required?
(Doc ID 2575496.1)
Last updated on FEBRUARY 10, 2025
Applies to:
Oracle Tuxedo - Version 12.2.2 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Goal
If a machine is brought down it's fairly obvious that the TLOG needs to be dealt with first. But if a server group is migrated from one machine to another just for "load balancing" reasons and thus the groups "previous" machine is still running other groups - is it necessary to use dumptlog / loadtlog anyway?
And how is automatic server migration (SGRPFAILOVER in ubbconfig *RESOURCES) doing the TLOG stuff?
