Applies to:

Oracle WebCenter Portal - Version 12.2.1.3.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Unable to edit a Portal.

The following behavior is observed:

ERROR

In all cases for all browsers there is a call to the same page in the portal diagnostic log as follows:

[DATE-TIME] [WC_Spaces1] [TRACE] [] [oracle.adfinternal.view.page.editor.mds.ComposerSessionOptionsFactoryImpl] [tid: [ACTIVE].ExecuteThread: '21' for queue: 'weblogic.kernel.Default (self-tuning)'] [userId: <USERID>] [ecid: <ECID>] [APP: webcenter] [partition-name: DOMAIN] [tenant-name: GLOBAL] [DSID: <DSID>] [SRC_CLASS: oracle.adfinternal.view.page.editor.mds.ComposerSessionOptionsFactoryImpl] [SRC_METHOD: isSandboxNeeded] sandboxAction : SandboxAction : [[
      Request URI : /webcenter/portal/oracle/webcenter/page/scopedMD/<PORTAL_GUID>/<PAGE_NAME>.jspx
      Save :false
      Save and close confirmation :false
      Save and label :false
      Close confirmation :false
      Close : false

After the above then it comes an ADF error like this for FireFox edit:

[DATE-TIME] [WC_Spaces1] [WARNING] [ADF_FACES-30120] [oracle.adfinternal.view.faces.taglib.util.TagUtils] [tid: [ACTIVE].ExecuteThread: '24' for queue: 'weblogic.kernel.Default (self-tuning)'] [userId: <USERID>] [ecid: <ECID>] [APP: webcenter] [partition-name: DOMAIN] [tenant-name: GLOBAL] [DSID: <DSID>] More than one af:skipLinkTarget found: T:wcCont, T:cpt11:wcCont. Only one af:skipLinkTarget is allowed per page.

And this for Chrome or IE browser edit:

[DATE-TIME] [WC_Spaces1] [ERROR] [] [oracle.adfinternal.view.faces.webapp.rich.RegistrationFilter] [tid: [ACTIVE].ExecuteThread: '9' for queue: 'weblogic.kernel.Default (self-tuning)'] [userId: <USERID>] [ecid: <ECID>] [APP: webcenter] [partition-name: DOMAIN] [tenant-name: GLOBAL] [DSID: <DSID>] ADF_FACES-60096:Server Exception during PPR, #4[[

The portal managed server access.log shows a call to the same page at the time of editing followed by a call to an image in content server which causes a redirect to WCPageNotFound.
