How To Access the DocumentNumber Property in a WEC Recognition Processor Script (Doc ID 2576956.1)

Last updated on AUGUST 19, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle WebCenter Enterprise Capture - Version 12.2.1.3.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

The WebCenter Enterprise Capture Scripting guide (section 8.1.10) states that the document class has a property called DocumentNumber, which is "The document's position within the batch."

See link:

https://docs.oracle.com/middleware/12213/wcc/develop-capture/GUID-AD98BE68-F2FD-4B3E-ABAC-B06DF83EDCF7.htm#ODDCD295

Using the following format "rpc.getDocument().getDocumentNumber()" returns the below error:

Error: rpc.getDocument().getDocumentNumber is not a function

The goal is to set an index field with the value of DocumentNumber so during commit processing, the metadata field can be populated, both as part of the file name and as a value in an index file generated by the commit processor.

In other words, the goal is to have image files committed from Capture named in the format:

<BatchName>_<DocumentNumber>_<ScanDate>  where DocumentNumber is the sequence of the document in the batch.

How can this property be accessed in a Recognition Processor script?
