When attempting to access Oracle Portal after applying Database Patch Set Update 181016 or later, the following error occurs.
The page isn't redirecting properly
Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete
The Portal URL redirects to:
https://<HOSTNAME>:<PORT>/portal/page/portal/NAME_PGR/General Error Page
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
- Apply Database Patch Set Update (PSU) (181016 or later):
Patch 28204707: DATABASE PATCH SET UPDATE 188.8.131.52.181016
- Restart the domain.
- Try to accessing Oracle Portal.
Here you will see the issue.
- Rollback the Database Patch Set Update (PSU).
- Access Oracle Portal.
It work fine.
