ESSO-LM fails to recognize mainframe applications by Window Titles
The requirement is to execute a password change on multiple AS400 mainframe servers in the production environments. The only difference between the servers seems to be the application title of the TN3270+ emulator window from each system. Therefore, the application templates for each of the emulator systems need to match on the specific window title for each unique system to ensure that the password changes are applied to correct users.
The ESSO-LM agent fails to recognize the different emulator windows for each application instance when the application template is configured to match on the unique window title for the emulator windows instead of the default value "Match all windows".
The ESSO-LM agent successfully recognizes the correct emulator window for each separate application instance when the application templates are configured to match on the unique window title for each system.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
- Create a mainframe application template for a mainframe application.
- Enter the unique window title for the emulator window in the "Window Titles section of the template.
- Publish the application template to the repository.
- Open the mainframe emulator application and navigate to the logon screen.
Due to this issue, users cannot use the ESSO-LM agent to authenticate to multiple mainframe application instances with unique window titles.
