Oracle Enterprise Single Sign-On: Logon Manager

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR

The ESSO Logon Manager mainframe helper object causes high CPU usage when opening a command prompt (cmd.exe)



EXPECTED BEHAVIOR

The mainframe helper object in ESSO Logon Manager does not cause the CPU usage to spike when opening a command prompt.


STEPS TO REPRODUCE

  1. Open a command prompt (cmd.exe) while ESSO Logon Manager is running.
  2. Open Windows Task Manager
  3. Note that the CPU usage is 5-15% for the ssomho.exe process. 


BUSINESS IMPACT

Due to this issue, users experience performance issues and high CPU usage on Windows platforms.
