Last updated on OCTOBER 20, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Coherence - Version 12.2.1.3.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

1) When an entry processor is being executed the entry on which it is executed is locked. This lock is performed on this entry alone or is the entire partition locked? What about entries retrieved from a backing map?
2) If the lock is performed on the partition, does this partition contains elements of a single cache or could it contain elements of different caches?
3) If a partition could contain elements of different caches, does key affinity ensures that entries are in the same partition or does it ensures that they are on the same node only?
