How to Specify the Default Tab (Other than Preview) for the View Documents Page When selecting a Document from the Content Manager Task Flow (Doc ID 2599914.1)

Goal

When viewing a document from the Content Manager Task Flow it opens the document in the Preview Tab of the View Documents Page.
Until now there was no option to specify the document opens in a different Tab (e.g. the Summary Tab).

Starting with the WebCenter Portal 12.2.1.3.19105WCPBP and WebCenter Portal 12.2.1.4 we have introduced an option to specify the landing tab for Content Manager Task Flow.

Note:

Starting with the WebCenter Portal 12.2.1.3.19105WCPBP or later and WebCenter Portal 12.2.1.4 it is required to have the WebCenter Content Binaries installed in the same Fusion Middleware Home for WebCenter Portal if you are integrating with WebCenter Content. So if WebCenter Portal and WebCenter Content are installed in separate Middleware Homes ensure you perform the following steps before using the solution from this note:
  • Install the WebCenter Content Binaries to the Fusion Middleware for WebCenter Portal.

  • Apply the latest recommended patches for WebCenter Content to the Fusion Middleware Home for WebCenter Portal.
The above is required to get the fixes for the Content Manager Task Flow.
