Complex ODI Mapping Containing Reserved Word Names Fails with "ORA-01747: Invalid User.table.column, Table.column, Or Column Specification" (Doc ID 2601330.1)

When executing a complex Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) 12c Mapping including several tables and components like Filters and Lookups, the following error occurs:

ODI-1217: Session <MAP_SESSION> fails with return code ODI-1298.
ODI-1226: Step Physical_STEP fails after 1 attempt(s).
ODI-1240: Flow Physical_STEP fails while performing a Merge rows-<IKM_NAME>-Load <TARGET_TABLE> operation. This flow loads target table <TARGET_TABLE>.
ODI-1298: Serial task "SERIAL-MAP_MAIN- (10)" failed because child task "SERIAL-EU-<LOAD_TASK_NAME>" is in error.
ODI-1298: Serial task "SERIAL-EU-<LOAD_TASK_NAME>" failed because child task "Merge rows-<IKM_NAME>-Load <TARGET_TABLE>" is in error.
ODI-1228: Task Merge rows-<IKM_NAME>-Load <TARGET_TABLE> fails on the target connection <TARGET_CONNECTION>.

Mapping simulation shows a column named DATE, which is a reserved word, and that while DATE is correctly surrounded by quotes for the first couple references, the later references deeper in the mapping where the error is thrown are not.
