BAM 12.2.1.3 Populateexternaldoaction Library Path Reference (Doc ID 2605565.1)

Last updated on OCTOBER 30, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle BAM (Business Activity Monitoring) - Version 12.2.1.3.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

When BAM 12 was launched we asked for a mechanism to refresh automatically the data contained in an external dataobject of type dimension. As a result Oracle provides a library (populateexternaldoaction-2504662.jar).

To use it one has to create a custom alert that triggers once a day, everyday.

Need to copy that jar file in the following route:

/products/oraclesoa/base/bam_12.2/soa/bam/lib/populateexternaldoaction-2504662.jar

And the location of that file has to be referenced in an absolute way (full path). Customers requested to have a way to reference the location of the jar file in a relative way to avoid problems when the base directory changes (due to version increment, environment). Customers face problems later( for ex:- after upgrade to 12.2.1.3.)

Can that file be finally included in the distribution? After installing one has to always look for the file and copy it manually.
