Details
Effective on the July 2018 Oracle Java SE Subscription and Oracle Java SE Desktop Subscription release date, Auto Renew will not be an option with these products. After reviewing customer feedback, it's been determined that enabling Auto Renew may discourage customer choice and flexibility in terms of annual requirements. Oracle Java SE Subscription and Oracle Java SE Desktop Subscription are set up as annual subscriptions. Oracle wants the customer to have full flexibility of renewing these products based upon each business’ specific needs.
Oracle endeavors to directly follow up via email with all Oracle Java SE Subscription customers 90 days in advance of a renewal deadline to assist you with your choices. Ultimately, it is the customer’s responsibility to decide what the business needs are and place a new order for the Java SE Subscription or Java SE Desktop Subscription. Other Oracle ‘Support Only’ products may Auto Renew. A Java SE Subscription is not ‘Support Only’. Instead, it is a Subscription which combines License and Support. To place a renewal or new order you can do so in the following ways.
Java SE Subscription can be ordered directly from Oracle in the following ways:
-
Direct from Oracle - contact Sales
-
Oracle Partner Network - Oracle Partner Store
-
Oracle Store - Oracle Store
Currently place all new orders and renewal orders using these part numbers:
B90201 Oracle Java SE Desktop Subscription
B90202 Oracle Java SE Subscription
After January 20, 2020, renewal orders can be placed using these part numbers:
B91383 Oracle Java SE Subscription Renewal
B91382 Oracle Java SE Desktop Subscription Renewal
