Last updated on NOVEMBER 20, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Enterprise Data Quality - Version 12.2.1.3.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

EDQ 12.2.1.3.0

While processing a string of 1000 characters using "Group and Merge", the following error is seen:

Process failed: A database error has occurred: ORA-12899: value too large for column "RESULTS"."DN_TI517788"."CODED_VALUE" (actual: 4001, maxmimum: 4000). (Code: 200,302) (Code: 209,861)

It appears the maximum should be 4000, but it is failing at 1000.  If a string of 999 characters or less is used, this process is successful and no issues are reported.
