LDAP Authentication Error When Entering User Credentials For LDAP v2 Authentication In ESSO Logon Manager (Doc ID 2620513.1)

Oracle Enterprise Single Sign-On: Logon Manager

The logon process was not successful. Please recheck your password and try again

ESSO Logon Manager (11.1.2.3) is configured to synchronize and authenticate with Oracle Internet Directory. After creating Logon Manager Client MSI, and installing the client on a workstation, the users get prompted with a logon process error when entering credentials for the LDAP v2 autthenticator to connect ESSO with the LDAP(OID) repository.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE

  1. Install/configure ESSO Logon Manager to connect to an OID repository.
  2. Create new custom MSI with the settings for the ESSO Logon Manger client.
  3. Install the ESSO Logon Manager client on a workstation.
  4. Restart the workstation and allow ESSO Logon Manager to start.
  5. Enter the user credentials into the LDAP authentication prompt.


BUSINESS IMPACT
Due to this issue, users cannot authenticate the ESSO Logon Manager client with the Oracie Internet Directory repository.
