Oracle Enterprise Single Sign-On: Logon Manager

ESSO Web Extension does not work when the SameSite cookie support is enabled in the Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge Chromium and Mozilla Firefox web browsers.

As part of ongoing security improvements, Google, Microsoft and Mozilla have updated their respective browsers are enforcing support for SameSite cookies in their respective web browsers. When this flag is enabled the web helper object within ESSO fails to work properly thus causing the credential injection to fail for web applications rendered in these browsers.

Due to this issue, users cannot use ESSO Logon Manager with web applications rendered in the specified web browsers when SameSite cookie support is enabled.

Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge Chromum and Mozilla Firefox web browsers have been automatically updated to enforce support for SameSite cookies.

  Google Chrome version 80+

Microsoft Edge Chromium Edition version 79+

  Mozilla Firefox version 78+
