ODI Tool OdiSqlUnload Writes Only Time for Date/Time Values (Doc ID 2625698.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 22, 2021

Applies to:

Oracle Data Integrator - Version 12.2.1.3.190708 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

After applying Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) Bundle Patch 12.2.1.3.190708, running the OdiSqlUnload command and using a format OTHER than 'yyyy/MM/dd HH:mm:ss' results in only the time written to the file, instead of the expected time and date format.

For example, the following usage results in only the time in the format 'HH:MM:SS', not the entire date and time:

OdiSqlUnload "-FILE=/<FILE_PATH>/<FILENAME>" "-DRIVER=weblogic.jdbc.db2.DB2Driver" "-URL=jdbc:weblogic:db2://<HOSTNAME>;databaseName=<DATABASE_NAME>
" "-USER=<USER_NAME>" "-PASS=<@=odiRef.getInfo("SRC_ENCODED_PASS") @>" "-FILE_FORMAT=VARIABLE" "-FIELD_SEP=|" "-ROW_SEP=\r\n" "-DATE_FORMAT=yyyy/MM/dd HH:mm:ss" "-CHARSET_ENCODING=ISO8859_1" "-XML_CHARSET_ENCODING=ISO-8859-1" "-FETCH_SIZE=10000"
SELECT
  <COLUMN_WITH_DATE_TIME>
FROM
  <TABLE_NAME>
