How To Verify The Signature Algorithm Used To Create a Certificate In A Wallet? (Doc ID 2627991.1)

Goal

In the latest PSU of the Database from 11.2.0.4.0 the MD5 has been deprecated and not supported anymore, resulting in errors reported by applications using JDBC with SSL. These application were working before the latest PSU have been applied to the Database.
After this security change the question is how to check what was the algorithm used to sign the certificate used by the application.
Here are the steps needed to follow in order to verify the signing algorithm for the certificates in a wallet.
