Incorrect Date Transformation In Xquery

Symptoms
Use the following command in xquery to send the system date to the end system.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
fn-bea:date-to-string-with-format("ddMMyyyy",fn:current-date())
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
However the date is populated as one day earlier than the actual system date.
For eg: When the call performed on 11th Jan 2020, the date is populated after the xquery transformation as 10012020.
