ODI 12c KM Expression Editor Is Missing Option to Select User Functions (Doc ID 2630330.1)

Symptoms

In Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) 12c, when editing an ODI Knowledge Module (KM) option using the "Expression Editor", there is no option to select neither global nor project level user functions.

In ODI 11g, the option for Functions exists, even though there are no functions displayed if the option is expanded.

To reproduce:

  1. In ODI 12c Studio > Designer, add an option to an existing IKM of type "Text".
  2. Open the Default value".
  3. Notice that the Expression Editor window appears, but only Variables, Sequences and ODI Ref Functions are available to be selected.
