OVD 11g LDAP Adapter Host Verification Fails for SSL port "Could not obtain current aliases" (Doc ID 2631285.1)

OVD 11g

An LDAP Adapter (Active Directory) configured and working fine with AD non-SSL port.

When it was changed to use SSL port, the connection to AD fails.

All the required certificated are imported into adapters.jks file.

Following error is reported in ODSM when trying to verify the host connection using SSL port

"Could not obtain current aliases"
