Goal
This KM doc provides an example of the steps when patching Components of OUD 12.2.1.3.x Collocated Installations. The example below is for OUD BP 12.2.1.3.191219.
Note: The example below uses specific versions but is not the most recent set of components certified to work together. For the most recent component certification information - Certification of Underlying or Shared Component Patches for 12c Identity Management Products (Doc ID 2627261.1)
To avoid downloading each component and then patching each individually, use the Stack Patch Bundle (SPB) which bundles the certified IDM product versions together. The SPB README is the best source of information for steps to apply the SPB.
Note: For information about the latest OUD 12.2.1.3.x BP certified with a Stack Patch Bundle (SPB), refer to: Stack Patch Bundle for Oracle Identity Management Products (Doc ID 2657920.1)
OUD 12c Collocated Installations use the Infrastructure software (which includes Components WLS/ADF).
Types of OUD Collocated Installations - - OUD & OUDSM combined and configured in a Single WLS Domain - OUD Configured in its own WLS Domain - OUDSM Configured in its own WLS Domain - OUDSM with DIP in a Single Domain
Note: This KM doc does not apply to patching an OUD 12c Standalone Installation since that type of installation does not use the Infrastructure software and does not install OUD instances in a WLS domain.
The example of applying Component Bundle patches to an OUD installation (below) uses the following reference to apply specific patches (for WLS, ADF, OPatch). Reference - Summary of Certified Fusion Middleware Component Bundle Patches, PSU or CPU Fixes to Apply for Oracle Unified Directory 12.2.1.3.x Installations (Doc ID 2627406.1)
