File Transfer Service Request Directory Update Causing An Absolute Directory Error (Doc ID 2633490.1)

Last updated on OCTOBER 07, 2022

Applies to:

Oracle API Gateway - Version 11.1.2.4.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

While modifying the Request Directory value in a File Transfer Service using Policy Studio, the following error is being seen when an attempt is made to save the change:

"The request directory must be an absolute directory."

Because of this error, the saving of the change is not possible.

This issue happens when Policy Studio is installed on Windows and the gateway is on Linux.

If the default variable is used (${environment.VINSTDIR}), as the starting reference point for the parameter the problem does not occur.

However, if an attempt is made to set an absolute path, or a custom variable to be used is defined in the envSettings.props, then the above error message occurs.

What approach needs to be taken in order to enter the file path variable we want and have it resolve correctly?
