WebCenter Content Upgrade Using Reconfig: Moving Files to Temporary Location for Reconfig (Doc ID 2636162.1)

Last updated on AUGUST 22, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle WebCenter Content - Version 12.2.1.4.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

On a 12.2.1.4.0 version of WebCenter Content, users are having a question regarding the use of reconfig.sh.  When looking at the following notes: <Note:2489405.1> - "Running reconfig.sh to Upgrade From 12.2.1.0 to 12.2.1.x Process Get Stuck in 'Processing MacroRule'" and <Note:2466414.1> - "Reconfig.sh Hung During 'Processing MacroRule'", I see that there appears to be a fixed size limit to amount of content that can be moved in a reconfig action.  The content in my WebCenter Content server exceeds the implied limit, so in order to get the ReConfig domain step to complete successfully, I moved the archive collection and vault to a temporary location.  Does the Reconfig need those files to complete the process?
