Background:   All OIG/OIM 12.2.1.x+ installations require installations of Oracle Fusion Middleware and Oracle SOA Suite.  Together with OIG/OIM 12.2.1.x, these products share certain underlying tech stack components which can be impacted by updates or patches. For maintenance purposes, a full understanding of the underlying components is needed when evaluating Patch Advisory Documents, PSU or Bundle Patch availability documents.

In order to avoid confusion and address any issues which might arise due to patching of the underlying components, quarterly testing and certification is provided for the current patches of the relevant underlying components in an OIG/OIM installation.
