WebLogic Encounters 'PeerGoneException' and 'AssertionError' During JNDI Lookup to Remote RMI Objects (Doc ID 2643852.1)

Symptoms

When application on WebLogic perform JNDI lookup of the remote objects intermittently get PeerGoneExceptions within WebLogic, when calling remote methods. See error below:

ERROR

 

Even when these exceptions are handled and an attempt to rebind is made - 'PeerGone' exceptions continue and rebind fails for several minutes.
