Silent Install Example - Infrastructure 12c and OUD 12c Installation | RCU in "silent" Mode | Creating OUD/OUDSM WLS Domain and OUD Instance Using WLST (Doc ID 2652405.1)

Last updated on MAY 09, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Unified Directory - Version 12.2.1.3.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

This document shows how to avoid using a GUI by -

- Using silent installation and a response file for Infrastructure 12c installation and OUD 12c installation

Note: OUD only needs the Infrastructure installation when  -
- Installing an OUD instance an a WLS domain (in the same domain as OUDSM, or in a separate domain from OUDSM)
- Installing OUDSM in its own WLS domain
- Installing DIP 12c and OUDSM in the same domain
A Standalone OUD installation (where OUD is not installed in a WLS domain) can use the silent installation to install OUD but does not need the Infrastructure installation.

OUD12c / DIP12c - How to Configure Directory Integration Platform (DIP) Without a Database and in the Same Domain as Oracle Unified Directory Services Manager (OUDSM) (Doc ID 2335307.1)

- Running RCU in silent mode which is only required for OUD & OUDSM created in one domain, and is optional for -
   - OUD in its own domain, or
   - OUDSM in its own domain

- Creating WLS Domains for OUD/OUDSM using WLST
Choose between:
   - Creating OUDSM in its own domain
   - Creating OUD in its own domain (points to KM reference doc)
   - Creating the WLS domain for OUD & OUDSM in the Same Domain

- Creating the OUD (Directory Server) Instance by running WLST
