ESSO Logon Manager Fails To Startup Automatically Or Manually On The Windows Desktop (Doc ID 2656525.1)

Symptoms

Oracle Enterprise Single Sign-On: Logon Manager

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR

ESSO Logon Manager fails to launch from the Windows Start Menu.

When a few users try to launch ESSO from the Windows Start menu, there is no response and the ESSO Logon Manager client never starts up.

Verified that the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon "Userinit" path. It's set to C:\windows\system32\userinit.exe,"C:\Program Files (x86)\Passlogix\v-GO SSO\wts\ssolauncher.exe" /startsso.

Shutdown ESSO Logon Manager, cleared the local cache and attempted to restart it.

Attempted to perform a repair installation and a complete reinstall but the issue is not resolved.



EXPECTED BEHAVIOR

ESSO Logon Manager client starts up when the users click on the ESSO-LM icon from the Windows Start menu.



STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

  1. Click on the ESSO-LM in the Windows Start menu.
  2. Wait for the ESSO Logon Manager client to start up and appear in the Windows System tray.



BUSINESS IMPACT

Due to this issue, users cannot start the ESSO Logon Manager client from the Windows Start menu.
